Artist - John Barter
Printmaking is a new medium for me, however, I have been working in tin since 1992.

I have  always loved the  Australian vernacular of “making do”, and I am a constant hunter/gatherer of interesting, rustic, disgarded objects.

Living in a country town for a great part of my life, plus the weathered landscape, has been a huge source of inspiration.

My work does reflect a sense of humour and I guess a lack of all seriousness. Any feedback, I do receive, is light-hearted and much joy is expressed by their new owners!

There is always an intention to simplify form and give each sculpture or print, its own personality.
